Nagarjuna is one of the most popular Hill Station,it is located at the north-west of Kathmandu. It is at the height of 2128 meters.Nagarjun hill is famous for Buddhist Gompa, sacred caves and beautiful scenery. On the top of the hill there is one big Buddhist Gompa where you can see and learn Buddhist way of prayer and meditation.
Moreover, there are several caves on the Nagarjuna hill.It is a part of Shivapuri National Park located north-west of Kathmandu and takes 15 minutes by car from the city center. You can start your hike from the Gate of Nagarjun near Balaju Bypass.
Similarly, The name Nagarjun is kept after the meditator Nagarjuna.It is the good place for the peace and tranquility. Buddha stupa, ancient caves and Jamacho view point are the prime attractions. Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang can be viewed very well from here. Summer Royal Palace of the former Royal family is the attraction of the Nagarjun in its natural setting.
This hill is 7 kilometers far from Kathmandu valley after completing the three hours of walk one can reach on the top of Nagarjun hill.
