Baruntse lies in Nepal between Everest and Makalu. It has four ridges and four summits being substantial and symmetrical snow peak. It is bounded on the east by Barun Glacier flowing north-south from Cho, to the nort-west by the Imja glacier and the Hunku glacier forms the south east boundaries. It is an altitude at 7129 meters.

One can begin the expedition also via Arun valley via Makalu Base camp.The route of the trek is populated by a wide cross-section of Nepali peoples with a diverse cultural background such as Rais, Limbus, Newars, Bhotias, Tamangs and Sherpas.

The climbers have succeeded the mountain mostly in the spring season because of being the best season to the climber for safety. However, some climbers have reached on the top of this mountain in the autumn season too.
